Can i get clamidya from kissing someone who has previously had it and gotten rid of it?

Okay the other night i kissed my best friend and she told me that she had sex a while ago with a guy who had clamidya and she got it from him but she said its very curable and shes since then gotten rid of it...but do i get tested?
