Does anyone have any information on childhood acne?

I have done plenty of research on the subject of childhood acne, only to find articles about children going through puberty early and therefore having acne. Does anyone know anything about having severe acne as a child that is not related to puberty at all? i found one article that said that it was a very serious condition, however the article did not go into any further detail other than the fact that it was serious. I had acne from the age of two to about fourteen. At the age when normal people get acne, mine went away. My acne as a child was also not curable. No soap or cream or change in diet had any effect on my acne. Information or links to articles would be appreciated.
