Question about HIV...?

As others have said, HIV is transmitted through direct contact with an infected person's bodily fluids. The way a virus infects the body is by injecting its genetic material into our cells. This genetic material is then either used directly to overhaul the host's DNA, or is transcribed into a form that can be used more readily. Once this is complete, the virus DNA produces the proteins and necessary components to create new viruses inside the initially infected cell. The cell then bursts, releasing the new viruses, and infection of new cells can begin. The reason HIV is not curable is that, when it transcribes its RNA into DNA, it makes mistakes. This gives rise to mutations which allow the virus to avoid being killed by drugs and the immune system.
